We arrived at Taiping Buddhist Society at 930am after a photo session at Taiping Lake Garden. We pray at the main shrine (大雄宝殿), stupa & bodhi tree. Slowly, the crowds began to grow. Then, we went to register ourselves with the Marriage Registration Officer. After we checked our information on the registration form, we pen down on the lifetime contract dotted line which was followed by witness blessing.
After that, all the 16 couples proceeded to Great Compassion Hall (大悲殿) where the solemnization ceremony was held at 1115am for couples to sworn on the oath, exchange vows & wedding rings. The officer gave a fantastic sharing on life before & after marriage & ended up everyone on the floor laughing. The ceremony ended at 1215pm after a group photo session.
From now onwards, I join the uncles club. The next task will be saving money for the wedding ceremony on end 2009 or 2010. Stay Tuned...
